In the western highlands of Guatemala lays Eddy Macdonald López farm, La Gardenias, in Huehuetenango. At 1900 meters above sea level in pristine forrest Eddy grows different rare coffee varieties. He is takes good care to preserve the nature around him, guarding the nearby spring water from contamination and protect the trees on his land that is home to various animals and birds, even Guatemalas national bird, the Quetzal, which is said to be a rare to find bird in general🫶🦜

The lot we got from Eddy is a marsellesa variety, a hybrid from the bourbon variety and timor variety. He post harvest processed this coffee as a natural, giving it more available sugars for our roast.

Flavournotes are in the comforting range milk chocolate, pecan, and some nice red berry.
